AI융합공학과

AI Convergence Engineering applies artificial intelligence methods, including machine learning and data analysis, to problems across engineering disciplines such as manufacturing, robotics, and system design. Students in this field typically study machine learning, data-driven modeling, and the application of artificial intelligence to industrial and engineering systems, along with the underlying computing and algorithmic foundations. Research often extends into topics such as intelligent automation, predictive maintenance, computer vision, and the integration of AI methods into existing engineering fields. Graduates pursue careers in technology companies, manufacturing and automation firms, research institutes, and organizations developing AI-based engineering solutions. This four-year combined master's and doctoral program in AI Convergence Engineering is offered at Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, South Korea, with classes conducted in English. The program combines master's coursework with doctoral research, moving students from foundational study in artificial intelligence and engineering toward independent research that results in a PhD dissertation. Students typically work with a faculty advisor throughout the program, applying AI methods to a specific engineering problem. This combined structure is designed for applicants who wish to complete both a master's and a doctoral degree within a single continuous program. Jinju, in South Gyeongsang Province, hosts the university's engineering and research facilities supporting this interdisciplinary field. Applicants should review the university's admission requirements, including its English proficiency standards, before applying to this program.
