Master in Ai Llm

Tuition costs 32,900 GBP per year.

Mastering the systems powering the next generation of artificial intelligence, this programme offers an immersive dive into the evolution of natural language processing—from early rule-based architectures to today’s sophisticated multimodal large language models (LLMs). Rather than providing a broad survey of general AI, this course focuses intensely on the historical development and future trajectory of language models, equipping you to design and deploy responsible, explainable AI solutions that push the boundaries of current technology.

Students engage in practical labs and real-world projects that bridge the gap between theoretical foundations and industrial application. You will learn to fine-tune and scale models for high-impact sectors including healthcare, finance, science, and the creative industries. By working closely with world-leading academics in a top-ten ranked research department, you will gain the expertise required to navigate the ethical, social, and environmental challenges inherent in modern AI development.

The York Advantage

The programme culminates in a comprehensive individual research project, providing you with the opportunity to synthesize up-to-date literature and contribute original technical insight. With strong industry links and a focus on computational engineering, graduates are prepared to excel as AI researchers, systems architects, or innovation leaders in a fast-moving global landscape.
