With a Bachelor’s in General Computer Science (Algemeine Informatik) from the Hochschule Furtwangen (HFU), graduates find roles in the development departments of tech companies, innovative start-ups, and manufacturing firms. This programme is ideal for those who want to help shape the digital transformation. Graduates can expect to work in full-stack development, data science, AI engineering, software architecture, and more.

At HFU, students can choose from three specialisations: Software Engineering, Applied Artificial Intelligence, and Medieninformatik. Each specialisation has a distinct focus on a different area of computer science, allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests while gaining practical experience through workshops, labs and industry projects.

One of the key advantages of studying at HFU is the strong connection to industry. Students complete a semester of practical training at top employers, from regional technology leaders to international corporations. This hands-on experience is crucial for graduates entering the job market.
