Master in Applied Data Science Msc

At Heriot-Watt University, the tuition fee is 20,456 GBP per year.

Heriot-Watt University has a long-standing reputation for industrial relevance, tracing its roots back to 1821 as the world’s first Mechanics Institute. This programme leverages that legacy to provide a bridge for graduates from non-technical disciplines looking to pivot into the rapidly evolving field of data science.

Bridging the Digital Skills Gap

Rather than assuming a background in computer science or mathematics, this MSc is specifically curated to build your technical proficiency from the ground up. It is an ideal pathway for professionals or recent graduates who have identified data literacy as the key to their next career move but lack the formal training in quantitative analysis.

• Interdisciplinary focus: Designed to accommodate a wide range of academic backgrounds.
• Career-ready curriculum: Focuses on practical application rather than purely theoretical research.
• Edinburgh-based learning: Study in a city renowned for its growing tech sector and innovative research environment.

By focusing on the practical application of algorithms and data structures, you will gain the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, positioning yourself as a versatile candidate in sectors ranging from finance to public policy.
