Applied Environmental Science and Planning Technology

Students complete hands-on field work and outdoor learning in diverse environmental settings. They study core environmental science topics during the first year with all School of Environment and Geomatics students. After the first year, students move into a specialized second year based on their chosen major. The program emphasizes practical skills through experiential learning in real-world conditions.

Focus areas include Forestry Technology, Integrated Environmental Planning, Recreation, Fish and Wildlife Technology.

Graduates enter roles in environmental science, forestry, wildlife management, and environmental planning.

High school graduation or equivalent. Minimum 67% in Foundations of Mathematics 11, Biology 11, and English Studies 12. Applicants must show proof of registration or completion of these courses. Provisional acceptance possible with proof of enrollment in missing prerequisites. All applicants must be in good health and physically fit for outdoor work. Computer competency in word processing, spreadsheets, and web browsing is recommended.
