Ontario College Diploma

This program prepares students to work as architectural technicians in firms, government agencies, or private organizations. It focuses on practical skills in design, technical drawings, and project management. Students learn to support building projects from concept to construction, using real-world workflows and industry standards. The program is designed for those with a high school diploma or equivalent, including adult learners and those with international credentials.

Students study computer-aided design, building codes, construction materials, and sustainable practices. They complete hands-on projects in residential and small commercial buildings. Courses cover drafting, structural analysis, project documentation, and communication with design teams. Learning takes place in workshops that simulate actual work environments. Students use current technologies to produce drawings and plans that meet legal and technical requirements.

Graduates are ready to assist in construction planning, site applications, and project execution. They can work in architectural firms, construction companies, or government departments. The program includes French language training and prepares students for professional development. Completion leads to a credential recognized in Ontario and supports eligibility for post-graduation work permits in Canada.
