About Master in Architecture + communityBUILD

Students at the Clemson Architecture Center in Charleston (CAC.C) learn how to engage communities and apply appropriate design solutions through the Architecture + communityBUILD (A+cB) program. This two-semester program focuses on community-centric processes, sustainability, and full-scale building. M.Arch students will gain practical skills in community design, sustainable practices, and project documentation through specific design studios and courses.

True to Clemson’s mission, students learn service-learning and student engagement while celebrating family and community living, sustainable environments, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Students must complete 18 credit hours of design studios and courses, with specific modules including Community 1:1 at the CAC.C and Introduction to Craft (ITC) at the CAC.C. The earned certificate will be acknowledged on the recipient's academic transcript.
