Bachelor in Architecture

At Girne American University, tuition is 8,750 EUR per year.

Architecture covers the design, planning, and technical realization of buildings and the built environment. Typical coursework includes architectural design studio, building construction and materials, architectural history and theory, structural systems, environmental design, and computer-aided design, along with courses in urban planning principles. Students learn to develop design concepts, translate them into technical drawings and models, and understand the structural, material, and regulatory considerations involved in constructing buildings. Graduates commonly pursue careers as architects, architectural designers, urban planners, and construction project consultants, typically following further professional licensure requirements specific to the country where they practice. This bachelor's program is delivered in English over 4 years at Girne American University in Girne, Northern Cyprus. English-medium instruction supports the international nature of architectural practice and education, where design references, technical standards, and much scholarly and professional literature circulate in English. The program is based in Girne, a coastal city in Northern Cyprus with an active university community, providing a base for the studio-based design work central to architectural education. Over the 4-year program, students typically progress through a sequence of design studios of increasing complexity, supported by parallel courses in construction technology, structures, and architectural history, culminating in more advanced independent design projects. The curriculum is structured to build the combined design, technical, and analytical skills that architectural practice requires.
