Bachelor in Art and design

Warszawa's Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology offers this bachelor's degree in Art and Design, titled Graphic Design and Multimedia Art, taught in English over three years, or six semesters. Yearly tuition is 24000 PLN. The curriculum was built on roughly ten years of experience working within an international design environment, and it draws on lessons learned during two years of pandemic-era restrictions, when much educational and creative work moved online and blended learning expanded. That shift increased demand for digital graphic designers able to communicate through digital tools within the internet economy. Anticipating continued growth in design work for the internet and connected, or smart, environments, the program prepares graduates to operate within an international community that communicates digitally, working across both physical and virtual settings. As an interdisciplinary program, it builds knowledge, awareness, and competence in visual communication through classes and workshops led by artists, designers, and engineers from a range of nationalities and academic backgrounds. The design problems addressed extend beyond the local context, giving students a view of how a contemporary designer fits into broader, global needs. Selected student projects are developed in cooperation with outside companies and institutions and, in some cases, carried through to implementation, letting students test their abilities while still enrolled. Graphic design and multimedia art as a field covers branding, illustration, interactive media, motion graphics, and digital art direction, and graduates typically pursue roles such as graphic designer, UX/UI designer, or digital art director across advertising, media, and technology sectors, with Warszawa offering access to Poland's largest design and media market.
