Art & Senses

Art & Senses is a summer school course at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar that approaches visual arts through the lens of sensory experience. The course draws on the idea that perception is a complex interplay of sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell, shaped by inherent memory and processes of knowledge formation. Participants learn to use sensory experience as a method for developing narratives and creative approaches across disciplines — the course is explicitly open to students from all fields, not only those with a visual arts background. The course is taught in English and is based at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in Weimar.
