The first-year module “Artificial Intelligence 1” introduces core AI concepts such as search, knowledge representation and machine learning, giving you a solid foundation from the start. Alongside this you study Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms and Theories of Computation, each worth 20 credits, so you quickly develop practical coding skills and an understanding of how computers reason.

The degree is split into three years. Years one and two consist of compulsory modules that build a broad computer science base, while the final year offers a 40-credit project and a choice of over 20 optional modules, allowing you to specialise in areas like Intelligent Robotics or Natural Language Processing. The programme welcomes applicants with A*AA at A-level, including a grade A in Mathematics, who are ready to engage with both theory and hands-on projects.
