Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (B. Sc.)

Students with a knack for problem-solving and an interest in data will thrive in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science programme at Hochschule Aalen, where the curriculum includes a centralised preparatory course to ease the transition into university life. Students build capabilities in analysing data, recognising patterns, and developing intelligent systems to tackle real-world challenges. The programme emphasizes practical application, with opportunities to work on projects in the Labor für datenzentriertes maschinelles Lernen and gain industry experience. Small group sizes facilitate close interaction with faculty and peers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

In the first year, students are introduced to key foundations such as mathematics, programming, and data understanding. The curriculum then progresses to more advanced topics like machine learning, data systems, and KI applications, culminating in a thesis project in the final year. The programme offers a choice of individual specialisations to tailor learning to personal interests and career goals. Graduates will be well-prepared for roles in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, with opportunities to work on innovative projects and solve complex problems in various industries.

Students at Hochschule Aalen benefit from a supportive atmosphere, with dedicated study advisors like Dr. Miriam Hommel providing guidance throughout the programme. The campus offers a range of facilities, including a well-equipped bibliothèque, cafeterias, and laboratories focused on compiler building, databases, and big data.
