Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence Engineering

Tuition is 5,750 USD per year.

Artificial intelligence engineering focuses on the design and development of systems that perform tasks associated with human intelligence, such as pattern recognition, decision-making, and language processing. Students study mathematics and statistics, programming, data structures and algorithms, machine learning, and neural networks, building toward coursework in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. Programs typically combine theoretical study of algorithms with hands-on projects that require students to build and evaluate models using real datasets, alongside foundational computer engineering topics such as computer architecture and software development practices. Graduates pursue careers as machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software developers working on intelligent systems across sectors including technology, finance, healthcare, and manufacturing. Others move into research roles in academic or industry laboratories, or continue into graduate study focused on specific areas of artificial intelligence. The rapid growth of applications for automated decision-making and data analysis has created demand for graduates trained in this combination of mathematical, statistical, and software engineering skills. This 4-year bachelor's program is offered at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, with instruction delivered in English. Ankara's concentration of technology companies, research institutions, and public sector organizations gives students opportunities to see applications of artificial intelligence methods beyond the classroom. The English-medium format supports engagement with the international research literature that drives much of the field, and prepares graduates for further study or employment in global technology markets. The program is situated within Hacettepe University's engineering faculty, alongside related fields such as computer engineering.
