Master in Automation and Robotics

If you have completed a Level 6 engineering or technology qualification and wish to extend your knowledge into the rapidly growing fields of automation and robotics, this programme offers the academic foundation and practical skills needed for a career in industry or further research. The blended part-time format spreads 180 ECTS credits over three years, allowing you to study while gaining work experience.

A distinctive feature is the Industry Module 1, where students spend around 30 hours on-site operating and programming a robotic arm, as well as wiring and troubleshooting PLCs. This hands-on exposure complements the theoretical modules and prepares graduates for immediate contribution in manufacturing environments.

Automation and Robotics investigates how electrical principles, sensor technologies, control theory and network communications combine to create intelligent machines. The curriculum covers electrical fundamentals, CAD modelling, mathematics, networking, regulatory affairs and instrumentation, providing a rounded understanding of the discipline.
