Tuition is 535,800 JPY per year.

Nagoya University, a comprehensive research university located in Japan's Tokai region, offers the Automotive Engineering Program (G30) as an English-taught bachelor's degree based in Aichi. The university describes a free and vigorous academic culture as the foundation for its research results and for graduates who go on to contribute to society. This undergraduate program runs for four years, with admission each October. Automotive engineering draws on mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering to address the design, manufacturing, and performance of vehicles. Undergraduate coursework in this field typically covers mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, vehicle dynamics, and manufacturing processes, alongside foundational mathematics and physics. Students often study engine and powertrain systems, structural design, and increasingly, the electronics and software involved in modern vehicles, including systems related to safety and efficiency. Laboratory and design-project work is common, giving students hands-on experience with the engineering methods used across the automotive industry. The Tokai region, where Aichi is located, has a long-standing connection to automotive manufacturing and industry, giving students in this program direct proximity to the sector their coursework addresses. Graduates of automotive engineering programs typically move into roles in vehicle design, manufacturing engineering, research and development, or supply-chain and quality engineering within the automotive industry, as well as further graduate study. The four-year bachelor's structure builds progressively from foundational engineering science toward more specialized automotive coursework and project work, preparing students for technical roles in a sector closely tied to the region surrounding the university.
