Aspiring storytellers who are eager to master both the written word and the visual language of the screen will find a home in this programme. You will move beyond mere drafting to develop a sophisticated understanding of narrative structure, character development, and genre conventions, preparing you for the realities of the modern creative industries.

This course is built on the belief that the best writers are those who consume and critique as much as they create. You will benefit from a collaborative environment that mirrors professional writer’s rooms, where feedback is rigorous and constructive. By bridging the gap between page and screen, you will graduate with a versatile portfolio capable of spanning novels, short stories, feature films, and television scripts.

Distinctive Creative Practice

• Cross-Disciplinary Mastery: Unlike programmes that silo writing, this degree forces you to consider how a story functions across different formats, from prose to screenplay, enhancing your adaptability.
• Industry-Facing Feedback: You will engage with staff who are active practitioners, ensuring your work is critiqued against current market standards and creative trends.
• Portfolio Development: A significant portion of your time is dedicated to sustained, supervised creative projects, allowing you to leave with a polished body of work ready for submission to agents or publishers.
