The module “Ethics of Technology” gives you the chance to examine how moral principles apply to emerging digital systems, with case studies on data privacy and AI governance. Throughout the first year you will attend interactive lectures, small seminars and practical workshops where you discuss texts, break down arguments and present your ideas to peers, developing clear writing and speaking skills with regular feedback.

A distinctive feature of this programme is the opportunity to spend a spring semester abroad, studying philosophical traditions in their cultural context and gaining an international perspective. The degree culminates in a dissertation or a special-subject project, allowing you to develop original research under one-to-one supervision while choosing optional modules that match your interests, such as environmental philosophy, philosophy of mind or critical theory.
