Graduates register with Social Work England and begin careers as social workers in settings such as local authority children’s services, NHS mental health trusts, charitable organisations, and family courts, working with children, young people, families, adults with mental health or physical disabilities, older people and their carers.

The programme is approved by Social Work England, granting automatic eligibility for professional registration, and benefits from a dedicated Placement Director and close partnerships with Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils, which help secure quality placement opportunities. Social work examines how individuals, families and communities engage with services, drawing on psychology and sociology, and the three-year BA provides both theoretical foundations and extensive practice placements.
