At Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, tuition is 160,000 NOK per year, while applications are due 2027-04-15.

Bachelor i trening, helse og prestasjon is a three-year, 180-ECTS bachelor's programme covering physical activity, public health and performance in sport, aimed at students who want to work with people through physical activity, health and physical performance.

The programme covers body anatomy, physiology and the function of the musculoskeletal system; the physical basis for activity and health; acute and long-term physiological effects of physical training and physical activity on performance and health; the relationship between nutrition, health and performance; preventive and health-promoting work with physical activity for different population groups; and conducting and interpreting physical-fitness and function tests (strength, endurance, mobility), alongside scientific method and critical use of sources.

The first year and the autumn of the second year are shared across all students on the programme, covering anatomy, physiology, training theory, nutrition, and practical and theoretical knowledge of different sports. From the second year, students choose one of two specialisations: fysisk aktivitet og helse (physical activity and health, FAH) or trening og prestasjon (training and performance, TP). The FAH specialisation leads to the professional title 'Helse- og treningsfysiolog' (health and exercise physiologist) and typically places students in settings such as healthy-life centres, rehabilitation institutions, gyms and physiology testing labs; the TP specialisation emphasises sport physiology, biomechanics and technology for professional-sport settings such as elite coaching, physical training in ball sports or individual sports, and the fitness industry. Both specialisations include a work placement in the third year, and the programme concludes with a bachelor's thesis.
