Cloud computing is the field concerned with delivering computing resources such as servers, storage and software over the internet rather than through local infrastructure. A Bachelor of Computer Applications in Cloud Computing at Symbiosis International University, Dubai, provides a grounding in core computer science alongside specialized study of cloud platforms, architecture and services. Subjects typically covered include programming, operating systems, computer networks, database management, cloud architecture, virtualization and cloud security. Students learn how cloud environments are designed and deployed, how organizations migrate systems to the cloud, and how to manage the storage, computing and networking resources that cloud platforms provide. The programme also addresses topics such as scalability, cost management and the security considerations involved in operating systems in cloud environments, reflecting how widely cloud infrastructure is now used across industries. Because cloud computing underlies much of modern software and business infrastructure, the field offers graduates broad relevance across technology and non-technology sectors alike. Career paths commonly associated with this discipline include cloud engineer, systems administrator, DevOps roles, cloud support analyst and infrastructure specialist, with opportunities across technology companies, financial services and any organization that operates significant digital infrastructure. The programme is delivered in English at Symbiosis International University, Dubai, located in the emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and is accredited by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation, reflecting its place within the recognized framework for undergraduate computing education in the country.
