The Bielefeld Graduate School in Theoretical Sciences (BGTS) is a joint institution of the Departments of Business Administration and Economics, Mathematics, and Physics, together with the Center for Mathematical Economics at Bielefeld University. It serves as an umbrella organisation for several structured research programmes in theoretical sciences at the university. The BGTS provides a structured doctoral study programme that includes courses, seminars, international workshops, soft skills training, and social events. Doctoral candidates may pursue their research within one of the participating research training groups or work independently under supervision from a BGTS scientist.
