The Master's programme Biochemistry International is offered jointly by the departments of biology and chemistry at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and the Research Centre Jülich. The programme spans 2 semesters, each worth 30 credit points. In the first semester, students select courses from a combination of lectures and practical training. An optional three-month research internship may be completed at the university or at an external institution. The second semester is devoted to the Master's thesis, a six-month independent research project concluded by both a written and an oral presentation. The programme may be completed in either German or English, subject to the applicable language requirements for each pathway.
