Bachelor in Bioengineering

Bioengineering applies engineering principles and methods to biological systems, medicine, and healthcare technology. Students study a combination of biology, chemistry, and engineering fundamentals, including subjects such as biomechanics, biomaterials, cell and molecular biology, and instrumentation, alongside core engineering coursework in mathematics, physics, and systems analysis. The curriculum often introduces students to areas like tissue engineering, medical device design, bioinformatics, and biochemical processes, combining laboratory work with theoretical study to build both scientific and technical competence. Students learn to apply engineering problem-solving approaches to biological and medical challenges, such as developing diagnostic tools, prosthetics, or systems for drug delivery and monitoring. Graduates of bioengineering programs pursue careers in medical device development, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, healthcare technology, and research laboratories, as well as further study in biomedical engineering, medicine, or related graduate fields.
