This program focuses on applied laboratory science in biosciences, biomedicine, bioproducts, and environmental sectors. Students gain hands-on experience in DNA, RNA, and protein analysis. The curriculum emphasizes laboratory practices, data reporting, and working with microorganisms and biological samples. Graduates are prepared for roles in research, quality control, and laboratory operations.

Focus areas include Agriculture biosciences, Biomedicine, Bioproducts, Environment.

Two-year program with 24 students admitted annually. Includes theory, labs, and a four-week practicum. Class time is 25-27 hours per week with 30-40 hours of homework. Capstone group project required.

Graduates work as biological laboratory technologists, agronomy technologists, food bacteriological technologists, or medical laboratory assistants in industry, research, or government labs.

Grade 12 with minimum 65% in Chemistry 30, Biology 30, Pre-Calculus 30, and English Language Arts 30. International students must meet English language requirements. Alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER scores.

On-campus, full-time, two years.
