Bachelor in BSc Computing Science with Cyber Security 2026/27

The programme runs over three years. In the first year you study core computing principles, programming and database systems while beginning to explore cyber security topics. The second year builds on this foundation with deeper modules in software engineering, operating systems, networks and an introductory cyber security module. In the final year you concentrate on secure software development, network security, IoT and complete a Computing Project in Cybersecurity that brings together all previous learning.

Each week combines lectures, seminars and hands-on lab classes. A dedicated cyber security lab supports activities such as packet tracing, malware analysis and secure coding. You also benefit from teaching by university researchers and industry professionals and from project work that reflects real-world security challenges.

• Dedicated cyber security laboratory for practical skills.
• Final year Computing Project in Cybersecurity.
• Industry experts delivering modules on blockchain, IoT security and intrusion detection.
• Partnerships with police, finance and insurance organisations for project input.
• Core modules covering programming, databases, networks and secure software development.
