Bachelor in BSc Environmental Sciences 2026/27

Graduates of the BSc Environmental Sciences move into roles such as environmental consultant, conservation manager, meteorologist, policy advisor, GIS analyst or scientific researcher, working for public agencies, private firms and NGOs, and many also continue to postgraduate study.

A distinctive feature of the programme is the residential field course and optional international fieldwork in locations like Greece, Spain, Scotland, Swaziland and Peru, complemented by compulsory modules such as OUR WORLD, SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS, LIVING PLANET and DATA AND RESEARCH SKILLS.

The degree runs over three years. Year 1 delivers a set of core modules that build a foundation in physical, chemical and biological principles and research skills. In Years 2 and 3 students choose from a wide range of optional modules and complete an independent project, with the final two years weighted 40:60 towards the degree classification.
