Master in Bsc Hons Global Sustainable Development

Tuition is 9,535 GBP per year.

This distance learning programme is uniquely developed and delivered in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). By integrating international policy frameworks directly into the academic curriculum, students gain a practical perspective on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their application in diverse global contexts. Graduates receive both a degree certificate from the University of Plymouth and a formal certificate of completion from UNITAR.

The programme is designed for individuals who wish to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world impact. It encourages students to interrogate the complex, interconnected nature of the three pillars of sustainability: society, economy, and the environment. Through a combination of research-led inquiry and critical debate, participants learn to construct evidence-based arguments that address the most pressing challenges of our time.

UN-Integrated Learning

The course structure is specifically tailored to foster a deep understanding of how sustainability is conceived and practiced across different regions. By exploring the role of individuals, communities, and institutions, the curriculum empowers students to become effective agents of change within their professional and local environments.
