Master in Calcul Haute Performance, Simulation

The Master ‘Calcul Haute Performance, Simulation’ (CHPS) programme at the Université Paris-Saclay boasts a strong partnership with Ter@tec, the leading European cluster dedicated to high-performance computing (HPC) and simulation, which allows students to gain collaborative experience with industry leaders such as ARM, AWS, CEA, and NVIDIA, and research labs like LI-PARAD, MDLS, and Centre Borelli.

The programme has a strong emphasis on the practical application of high-performance computing (HPC) and simulation, both in research and industry. Students can specialise in ‘Informatique Haute Performance et Simulation (IHPS)’ or ‘Modélisation et Simulation avec le Calcul Haute Performance (MSCHP)’ during the second year. The curriculum focuses on advanced programming techniques, parallelism, and data analysis, culminating in a 5-6 month research or industrial project.

The programme aims to equip students with the ability to exploit high-performance architectures effectively, model and simulate physical phenomena, and develop high-performance simulation software. Graduates typically find employment in top research labs and companies, or further their studies in PhD programmes.
