About the Program

The CanSat Satellite Design course at Technische Universität Berlin introduces participants to satellite technology through the design, construction, and field testing of a CanSat — a small satellite built to the dimensions of a commercial beverage can. The course covers foundational topics in space technologies and trains practical skills for CanSat development. Teaching combines theoretical units with hands-on practical exercises. Participants work in closely supervised small groups to develop individual components of the CanSat. The course includes an excursion to a Berlin site hosting space-related companies and institutions, where participants observe facilities used for satellite development. The course culminates in a field test during a rocket launch. The programme is a non-degree course offered at Technische Universität Berlin in Berlin, Germany.
