Ontario College Diploma

This program prepares students for careers in residential and light commercial construction, renovation, and conservation. Graduates work as carpenters, renovators, inspectors, or project coordinators. They build and repair homes, manage projects, and follow Ontario building codes. The training focuses on practical skills needed in real-world settings.

Students learn to read blueprints, use hand and power tools safely, and handle materials like wood, concrete, and insulation. They study structural design, energy efficiency, and sustainability. Hands-on labs and workshops teach layout, framing, roofing, and finishing techniques. Project management and safety practices are part of every course.

The program lasts four semesters and is delivered in person. It requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, one French credit, and one math credit. Students must meet English proficiency if they do not have an OSSD. Classes start in September 2026.
