Chemistry is a cross-disciplinary field that contributes to a critical-rational worldview through its fundamental concepts, theories, and models. These insights are essential for the production and use of various substances in industrial sectors, agriculture, pharmacy, and medical technology. Chemical research and its application across different economic sectors and institutions are pivotal for value creation, resource conservation, and environmental protection. Thus, chemistry significantly benefits society.

The teaching in this program is led by the Institute for Chemistry, the largest chemistry institute in Northwest Germany.
