Chemia

The Military University of Technology in Warszawa, Poland offers this master's program in Chemistry, taught in English over 3 semesters, with yearly tuition of 2673 EUR. The field of study sits within the exact sciences, specifically the chemical sciences and the discipline of chemistry, and connects to other fields taught by the Faculty, including materials science and the chemistry and engineering of special-purpose materials. The program is built to prepare engineering staff at both first- and second-degree levels for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces, including officers in corps dealing with defense against weapons of mass destruction and the identification and elimination of contamination, as well as for the national economy, training chemical specialists in materials, chemical rescue, and explosives and pyrotechnics. The main goal is for graduates at all levels to gain the knowledge, skills, and social competences needed to design, manufacture, and safely use various chemical substances and products, including toxic industrial agents and other hazardous materials such as explosives, pyrotechnics, and radioactive materials. Graduates also gain knowledge and skills for handling hazardous waste, including its neutralization, disposal, and recycling, and for preventing accidents in the chemical and fuel industries and minimizing and eliminating their effects when they do occur. These goals rest on thorough knowledge and skills built up during earlier stages of study. Graduates of programs combining chemistry with defense-related applications typically move into specialized technical roles in the military, hazardous-materials management, or chemical safety and rescue services.
