Childcare Apprenticeship

The Childcare Apprenticeship program is a one-year non-degree course at Belfast Metropolitan College in the United Kingdom. It's for individuals over 18 who are employed or seeking employment in childcare. The program combines practical experience with classroom learning to help students advance their careers in early years and childcare.

Students will learn about child development, health and safety, and early learning through a dynamic curriculum that includes hands-on experience in real-world childcare settings. This approach will help students apply their knowledge in practical situations and prepare them for the demands of the childcare industry.

Graduates can work as Early Years Practitioners, Childcare Assistants, or Nursery Nurses. Many will find employment with leading childcare providers in Northern Ireland, and some may progress to a Level 3 Apprenticeship or further studies in childcare, opening doors to advanced roles in education and child development.
