Childcare Education

This programme prepares students to work with children from birth to 12 years in early childhood education settings. It focuses on developing pedagogical and relational skills for supporting child development and well-being. Students learn to implement inclusive curricula and collaborate with families and professionals. The programme emphasizes French-language identity and cultural diversity in early childhood care.

Two years of full-time study; 54 credits; four steps on-campus; five steps online; includes practicum stages.

Graduates work as early childhood educators in licensed childcare centres, family childcare, family resource centres, and school-based programs.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; one credit in French (FIF4U, FRA4C, FRA4U or equivalent); English language proficiency required if DESO not submitted.

On-campus and online; full-time; duration stated as two years.
