This programme prepares individuals to work with children from birth to age 12 in early childhood settings across Quebec. It focuses on creating safe, supportive environments that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Work takes place in licensed childcare centres, kindergartens, schools, and family-based care programs.

The programme is delivered entirely online with evening classes and some Saturday morning sessions. It includes 16 courses and two practicum placements totaling 375 hours in real childcare settings. Course topics cover child development, health and safety, educational activities, family collaboration, and professional integration.

Admission requires passing a French test and a selection interview. A legal clearance certificate is also required for practicum work. The programme offers flexible pathways, including a paid work-study option and a recognition of prior learning track. Classes begin in September and January each year.
