About Master in Choeur de chambre ElaNaveVa

Graduates of the Choeur de Chambre ElaNaveVa go on to perform in concerts and contribute to creative, interdisciplinary performances across France and internationally. This master’s programme is directed by Isabelle FAES (Chef de choeur) and Victor FOUCHER (President) and is not open to students in the second or third year of musicology.

The choir is distinguished by its repertoire of 20th and 21st-century music, its commitment to creating original performances, and its engagement in feminist activism and fighting discrimination. Artists from various disciplines, including directors, visual artists, and choreographers, regularly participate in the choir's artistic life and mentoring, leading to unique and innovative performances. The choir also promotes inter-generational projects and awareness campaigns, constantly seeking new forms, encounters, and spaces.

Sessions are held weekly on Thursdays from 8:15 PM to 10:15 PM during the school year, with additional rehearsals on Sundays and occasional residences of 2-3 days. Performances take place at the Département de musicologie - Rue François Clouet in Tours.

The curriculum includes weekly sessions on vocal technique, choral singing, and group staging, culminating in public performances.
