Antalya Bilim University

Bachelor in Civil Engineering

Antalya, Turkey Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Civil Engineering covers the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, roads, water systems, and other structures that support daily life. Core coursework typically includes structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, construction materials, hydraulics and water resources, transportation engineering, surveying, and structural design, supported by mathematics, mechanics, and physics foundations. Students learn to analyze loads and forces acting on structures, evaluate soil and foundation conditions, and design structural elements that meet safety and building-code requirements. Laboratory work, often involving materials testing and surveying practice, complements classroom instruction, and many programs include design projects where students plan structures or infrastructure elements from initial concept through technical drawings. As the field is broad, students often specialize through electives in areas such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, or water resources engineering as they progress through the program. Graduates typically work as civil engineers on construction projects, in infrastructure planning and design offices, for government agencies responsible for public works, or in construction management, and many pursue professional licensure and further specialization after graduation. This bachelor's program is delivered in English over 4 years at Antalya Bilim University, located in Antalya, Turkey. English-medium instruction gives students access to internationally used engineering codes, standards, and technical literature in the language in which much of it is published. Over the four years, the curriculum builds from mechanics and mathematics fundamentals toward applied structural, geotechnical, and construction-related coursework.
