Bachelor in Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is the discipline responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, roads, water systems, and other structures that support everyday life. Students study structural analysis, materials science, geotechnical engineering, fluid mechanics, surveying, and construction management, gaining the technical foundation needed to design safe and functional structures. Coursework typically combines mathematics-intensive theoretical study with laboratory testing of materials and soil, as well as computer-aided design and structural modeling software used throughout the profession. As students progress, the curriculum often introduces more specialized subjects such as transportation engineering, water resources engineering, earthquake-resistant design, or environmental engineering, depending on the program and its electives.
