This two-year program is offered at the Cégep de Lanaudière in Joliette. It is designed for students who love classical music and want to develop their expressive abilities and artistic sensitivity. The program combines individual instrument lessons, ensemble performance, and theoretical study. Students attend classes on campus and have access to a fully renovated recording studio and modern music technology labs.

You will also perform in concerts, participate in productions, and use professional equipment like digital audio workstations, MIDI controllers, and recording gear. The curriculum balances practical work with academic learning and includes regular performances and personal practice.

Admission requires an instrumental audition and placement tests in music theory. Auditions are held in March, May, June, and August. The program is open to students from across Quebec and beyond. Upon completion, you can enter university programs in composition, teaching, interpretation, musicology, or music therapy.
