Clinical Dental Technology investigates how dental prostheses are designed, manufactured and fitted, using digital scanning, CAD/CAM design and 3D printing to meet patient needs. The course examines the scientific, clinical and regulatory aspects of prosthodontic care, and students learn to create safe, biomechanically sound restorations.

Graduates register with the General Dental Council as Clinical Dental Technicians and join dental teams to provide denture and prosthetic services, support advanced cases and, for high-achieving students, potentially progress onto a graduate BDS programme. Study is organised over three years: the first two years combine laboratory practice and clinic work, while the final year adds community-based experience.
