You will build expertise and professional skills in clinical management, clinical exercise testing and interpretation, clinical exercise intervention and exercise and physical activity behaviour change. The MSc Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Portsmouth is accredited by the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS), and students who successfully complete the core competencies, as well as 140 placement hours, become eligible to register with the AHCS as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. This programme offers practical experience through its partnership with Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and access to the university's Clinical Simulation Suite.

This course provides the key skills required to pursue a career in clinical settings, including in private practice. There are a range of opportunities to gain practical skills, both in the clinical simulation suite and through practice-based learning in industry.
