Computer Aided Design - Parametric Modelling

For Computer Aided Design - Parametric Modelling, applications are due 14th August 2026.

Every Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm, students attend a four-hour blended laboratory that culminates in the Certified SolidWorks Associate qualification. The part-time route suits individuals who have achieved Leaving Certificate results, are keen on technical graphics, or work in related trades and wish to move into CAD technician roles.

The programme runs over one academic year and is divided into two mandatory modules. The first ten-credit module introduces the fundamentals of parametric modelling, and the second five-credit module builds intermediate skills and prepares learners for the SolidWorks certification exam. Weekly labs, group projects and a design-and-build assignment provide practical experience.
