Ingegneria Informatica

For Ingegneria Informatica, tuition comes to 500 EUR per year.

Computer Engineering combines the study of computer hardware and software to prepare students for careers in designing, building, and maintaining digital systems. The discipline draws on both electrical engineering and computer science, covering topics such as digital logic and computer architecture, programming languages, algorithms and data structures, operating systems, computer networks, embedded systems, and database design. Students typically also study mathematics, physics, and electronics as a foundation for more advanced coursework in areas like microprocessor design, signal processing, and software engineering practices. This bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering is offered by Università degli Studi di Sassari in Sassari, Italy, and is taught in English, making it accessible to international students. The program runs for three years, following the standard structure for a first-cycle degree in the Italian higher education system. Graduates of Computer Engineering programs commonly move into roles such as software developer, hardware or embedded systems engineer, network engineer, systems analyst, or IT consultant across industries including telecommunications, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and information technology services. The field also serves as a foundation for further study at the master's level in areas like artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, or computer science, and for professional certification as an engineer in jurisdictions that require it. Because the discipline sits at the intersection of theory and applied problem-solving, coursework generally balances mathematical and scientific fundamentals with hands-on laboratory work and project-based learning, giving graduates both the conceptual grounding and the practical skills expected by employers in technology-driven sectors.
