The Master's programme in Computer Science at Saarland University is part of the Saarland Informatics Campus and runs over 4 semesters. Subject areas where research is conducted include artificial intelligence, computational biology, computational linguistics, computer graphics, algorithms and data structures, computer networks, image processing and computer vision, information and database systems, logic, programming languages, computer architecture, and security. In the fourth semester, students complete a master's thesis worth 30 credit points. There is no fixed course timetable, and students choose modules according to their own interests.
