Construction Site Management

Each week you will work with real-world case studies, applying project feasibility techniques, designing site layouts, and practising cost-control calculations. You will use spreadsheet models and specialised planning software to evaluate options, assess risk and produce appraisal reports that mirror industry practice, while also taking part in virtual site tours and collaborative discussion forums with experienced construction managers. Delivered fully online with part-time flexibility, the course runs over two semesters and carries 30 credits. You study six compulsory modules: Project Feasibility and Appraisal, Site Management, Fundamentals of Measurement and Cost Control, Project Programming and Control, Construction Contract Administration and Procurement, and Building Surveying. The modules blend theoretical input with practical assignments, developing skills in economic appraisal, health and safety management, quantity surveying, critical-path planning, contract law and building diagnostics. The qualification readies you for senior site-management positions.
