Counselling

This Foundation Degree in Counselling is designed for students who have completed a Level 3 Achievement in Counselling. It spans two years of full-time study, providing a solid foundation in counselling theories and practices. Ideal for those who are passionate about helping others, this program equips students with essential skills for a career in counselling.

The curriculum includes modules such as Person-Centred Theory and Practice, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Advanced Counselling Skills. Students will engage in practical assessments and complete a voluntary placement with 100 face-to-face clinical hours. This hands-on experience, combined with theoretical knowledge, prepares graduates for the evolving demands of the counselling profession.

Graduates can pursue various roles, including Counsellor, Mental Health Support Worker, and Psychotherapist. They may find employment in healthcare settings, educational institutions, or private practice.
