A dedicated cyber security laboratory on campus lets you experiment with real-world scenarios in a controlled environment, using tools such as OpenText EnCase Digital Forensics and Forensic Imager TX2. This facility supports practical learning throughout the programme.

The degree explores how organisations protect data, manage risks and respond to attacks. You study fundamentals of cyber security, network protection, secure coding, digital forensics and emerging technologies, gaining the analytical skills needed to assess threats and design defensive strategies.

The course runs for three full-time years, with an optional 48-week paid placement in the final year. After the first year you receive a Level 4 Higher Technical Qualification, and the final year includes a major research project that deepens specialised knowledge.
