This continuing-education M.A. in Dance centres on the equal integration of three perspectives - artistic practice, scientific reflection, and mediation (teaching/outreach) - systematically related to one another in research and teaching rather than treated separately. It is delivered jointly by the Institute for Dance and Movement Culture at GSU and the Faculty of Sport Science at Ruhr University Bochum, which co-developed the programme and each teach half of it.

It is aimed at people with dance, artistic, pedagogical or scientific experience who want to further develop dance and movement in their practical, reflective and mediating dimensions, preparing graduates for artistic, dance-mediation, choreographic, curatorial, and dance-research career paths.
