Tuition is No tuition fees; 435 EUR/semester; applications close 30 Apr · 15 Jun.

The Master's programme in Data Science and Machine Learning at the University of Oldenburg focuses on data science research with an emphasis on life and natural sciences, including medicine. Students master the methodological foundations of complex data analysis with a strong emphasis on machine learning, developing the ability to design, implement, and analyse data-driven algorithms on both technical and conceptual levels. The programme is taught in English, admits approximately 30 students per year, and includes optional language courses and an internship. The 120-credit curriculum runs over 4 semesters starting in the winter semester. Core modules (42 CP) cover areas such as applied deep learning, statistical learning, machine learning, research data management, and data ethics. Students then specialise in one of three tracks: Theoretical Foundations of Machine Learning in Mathematics and Natural Sciences; Data Science and Machine Learning in Medicine and Health Care; or Data-Driven Speech and Hearing Sciences. Each specialisation includes compulsory and elective modules alongside a group project. The programme concludes with a 30-credit master's thesis. Graduate roles described in the source include data scientist, data analyst, data engineer, and machine learning engineer. The degree is offered at the University of Oldenburg in Oldenburg, Germany.
