Bachelor in Derecho Y Periodismo

Derecho Y Periodismo is a double bachelor's degree combining legal studies with journalism training. Law programmes build knowledge of civil, commercial, constitutional, criminal, and procedural law, along with the analytical habits required to interpret and apply legal norms. Journalism training develops skills in reporting, media writing, investigative methods, and editorial practice. The combination is particularly valuable in legal and court reporting, investigative journalism, media law, communications for law firms and public institutions, and policy advocacy. Understanding legal processes and documents from the inside gives journalists a genuine advantage when covering justice, regulation, and institutional affairs. This double degree runs for approximately 6 years at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid.
